2nd Assistant Chief
As an assistant chief and member of the Tooele City Volunteer Fire Department, we are responsible for a growing city and the area of the Utah Industrial Depot. The demands on this department continue to increase with extrication assistance, potential ice and water rescue as well as the structure, vehicle and brush fires. We assist other agencies in the county with wild land fire fighting capabilities as needed.
The Tooele City Fire department is a fifty member department and has been able to operate at that capacity since being formed many years ago. We have been able to handle any situation that we are called upon to assist with, and will continually strive to meet that demand.
Tooele City is in the process of acquiring property and building a third fire station in the north end of the city. This will greatly assist with fire service demands as Tooele continues to grow northward. It is an ongoing process to evaluate our apparatus, equipment and manpower so that we can grow and expand as needed.
The mayor and city council have always provided us with everything we need and ask for to operate a very good and responsive fire department. I believe the citizens and businesses of Tooele deserve the very best fire service possible, we appreciate your support.
